Proudly hailing from Kingston, Ont -Live Music Capital of Canada – the members of Oakridge Ave. have been cutting their teeth in dynamic musical ventures for over ten years. "This Kingston band has quickly risen to the top of the city’s rock scene since forming in 2018 and galvanizing fans with their very danceable blues and funk hits and tight musicianship", notes Visit Kingston's Jordan Whitehouse. Their individual musical pedigrees range from being influenced by operatic choral music, Celtic punk, the most genuine hard working and endlessly touring Canadian Indie bands, as well as the theory and technique gleaned from the Berkelee School of Music.

Since joining forces in 2018 Oakridge Ave. have been playing, and selling out, the venues that birthed other Canadian and internationally recognized bands such as The Mahones, The Glorious Sons, The Tragically Hip, The Headstones, Weeping Tile, and Bedouin Sound Clash. This trial by fire and musical apprenticeship has helped hone their tight, indie alt-rock sound into what it is today: A sublime blend of influences spanning Canada's rich musical tapestry.

In the summer of 2018, they embarked on a 10-date East Coast Maritime tour, during which their songwriting, sound, and dynamic has matured, as have their energetic live performances. Following a serendipitous meeting with one of their musical heroes, legendary indie-rock musician/producer Ian Blurton (Future Now, Change of Heart, Blurtonia, C’Mon, The Lowest of the Low, The Weakerthans, Rheostatics) in the summer of 2018 at the Wolfe Island Music Festival, Oakridge Ave. teamed with him at his Pro Gold studio in Toronto for their debut full length album, “Endless Nights”. The resulting 10 track album, released in spring 2020, is a mix of alt-rock anthems featuring infectious choruses, thoughtful lyrics, and searing guitar riffs. In anticipation of the release of "Endless Nights", the band put out a 3-song EP in February on 2020 entitled "Volume & Tone", which highlights their evolving style and attention to dynamic and layered composition.

In the past two years Oakridge Ave. have shared the stage with The Beaches, Chris Koster (The Glorious Sons), Yukon Blonde, and their heroes Lowest of the Low. At the end of 2021, Oakridge Ave. linked up with another legendary and prolific Canadian artist, JUNO-Award winner Hawksley Workman, whose mentorship and production skills have laid the groundwork for their upcoming sophomore record, to be released in Spring of 2022. Oakridge Ave. is like a good Canadian ale; rich, complex, smooth and best enjoyed with as many friends as possible!
