Mecca of Stank
Mecca of Stank is the brainchild of Mark Leo, who convinced some of the most accomplished musicians in Ottawa to form a band in 2019 with the goal of playing extended interpretive jams to induce musical euphoria (i.e., the stank face). A couple of years of epic performances playing mainly loose covers morphed into more original music and launched Mecca of Stank to the next level.
With a shared love of soul, funk, jazz, r&b, reggae, old school hip hop, ambient downtempo, Latin and world music, the foursome perform arrangements that explore all of their shared influences, and experiment with blending them together.

In April of 2023, Stank was nominated for a 2023 Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) Captial Music Award in the Best Newcomer category. In June of the same year, they were selected to attend and perform at Canadian Music Week in Toronto.
In April 2022, Mecca of Stank released their debut single 'Dopamine Dreams (feat. Rebecca Noelle)'. Produced and recorded by award-winning Jason Jaknunas at Metropolitan Studios in Ottawa, Canada. With the stellar production team, they have been releasing new material regularly ever since, including 8 studio singles, with tracks in English, Spanish and French languages.

The Lionyls
The Lionyls are a four-piece Rock & Soul outfit based in Ottawa, Canada with an unmistakable sound and ability to make their audiences move. Inspired by rhythm & blues, funk, soul, and rock & roll traditions, they have crafted an organic sound that is both timeless and current, raw and refined. The band combines elements from many different genres to create songs that transcend social and cultural barriers and connect people from all walks of life. After winning the Live 88.5 Big Money Shot in 2014 The Lionyls caught the attention of music fans across the Ottawa Valley. They spent the following three years honing their craft with a non-stop performance schedule performing at landmark festivals and events including: Ottawa Bluesfest, CityFolk, HOPE Volleyball, the National Arts Centre, and Westfest, and supported some of Canada’s biggest names including: Sam Roberts, Serena Ryder, and The Trews. Their music truly comes to life in live performance, where their skillful musicianship, charismatic presence, and raw energy invite the audience to join them deep in the groove.

NitroTurtle
NitroTurtle is a funk band out of Ottawa that flexes between jazz, hip hop, R&B and soul vibes. Led by Deniz Lim-Sersan (drums), the group has a rotating cast of some of the finest musicians in the city. If you want to dance, groove or just sit down and nod your head, NitroTurtle will bring the music.
