Big Love brings some really big love to the stage with their wildly energetic performance that pays tribute to the music of Fleetwood Mac. The love-fest began in 2014, when two Ottawa based bands decided to create a collective of sorts to perform Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 album “Rumours” as a special event. The success of the night spurred on half of that collective to develop the show into a full night of Fleetwood Mac’s hits. With a few tweaks and additions to the cast of players, Big Love was formed, and has since spent almost a decade rocking stages with a rare kind of magic that invokes the spirit of Fleetwood Mac.
Featuring Rebecca Noelle (Christine McVie vox), Sam Steel (Stevie Nicks vox), Rob Patterson (Lindsay Buckinham vox), Michael Goyette (lead guitar), Jeff Steel (bass), Matt Babineau (drums), and Brent Hultquist (keys), Big Love does not aim to clone Fleetwood Mac, rather, they dive into the repertoire with precision and explore the essence of what Fleetwood Mac brought to the stage.
This dynamic group of players connect to each other and the music, hitting all of the most memorable Fleetwood Mac notes, before busting the frame and pushing the music to the next level with extended jams and improvisation. Big Love takes you to the show that you would expect to experience in Fleetwood Mac’s early years with soaring vocals expertly folded into harmonies and dancing over grooves and melodies that have stayed the test of time.
